PLATINUM
Platinum is a highly valuable, silver-white metal renowned for its exceptional weight, softness, ductility, and resistance to corrosion and chemical attack. Its high melting point further enhances its utility in various applications.
One of Platinum's most prominent uses is in the creation of fine jewelry, where its durability and resistance to tarnish make it a coveted choice. Moreover, Platinum and its alloys are indispensable in surgical tools, laboratory equipment, electrical resistance wires, and electrical contact points.
In the realm of industrial catalysis, Platinum plays a critical role, accounting for approximately 30% of the catalytic converters used in emissions control. Notably, South Africa is the world's leading producer of Platinum, supplying three-quarters of the global supply.
While Platinum prices have been steadily increasing, their trajectory may not have matched the meteoric rise of its counterpart, Palladium. This disparity can be attributed to the distinct applications of these metals, particularly evident in the electric vehicle sector, where Palladium has experienced significant demand due to its use in catalytic converters for fuel cell vehicles.
Palladium
Palladium (Pd) is a rare, steel-white platinum group metal (PGM) with the lowest melting point (2830.82 °F) and density among PGMs. It is primarily found in South Africa, Canada, and Russia, with significant recycling of catalytic converters contributing to global supply.
The palladium market has been in a supply deficit since 2019, with a shortage exceeding 1 million ounces. This deficit is anticipated to worsen in 2020, according to Elaine Martin's report on platinum group metals.
Gold
Gold is a precious metal belonging to the Group 11 elements in the periodic table. Its distinctive yellow luster, high density, and malleability have made it highly prized throughout history. Due to its durability and relative purity in its natural state, gold has retained its value for millennia.
ELECTRONIC WASTE
Palladium Recycling provides competitive pricing for Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), determined by factors such as material composition, fraction classification, and the inherent value of the waste stream. Upon receipt or collection, PCBs undergo a rigorous assessment, categorization, and sorting process to ensure accurate classification. Following weighing, payment can be made in cash or through Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). In addition to PCBs, we also purchase Random Access Memory (RAM), Central Processing Units (CPUs), cellphone boards, and hard drives.

Overall, Palladium Recycling specializes in recycling precious metals from automotive waste products and offers various services to clients in this field.
Rhodium
Rhodium (Rh), is one of the platinum group metals. It is silvery-white and has a very reflective surface. Rhodium is very hard, durable, and highly resistant to corrosion. It is harder and has a higher melting point than both platinum and palladium, making it a useful hardening element in alloying. The element's major use (consuming about 80% of world rhodium production) is as one of the catalysts in the three- way catalytic converters in automobiles.Around 80- 90% of rhodium comes from South African platinum mines
Rhodium is a chemical element with the symbol Rh and atomic number 45. It is a very rare, silvery-white, hard, corrosion-resistant, and chemically inert transition metal. It is a noble metal and a member of the platinum group. It has only one naturally occurring isotope, 103Rh. Naturally-occurring rhodium is usually found as a free metal, as an alloy with similar metals, and rarely as a chemical compound in minerals such as bowieite and rhodplumsite. It is one of the rarest and most valuable precious metals.
Ceramic Catalytic Converters
Ceramic catalytic converters hold the biggest market and account for the majority of catalytic converters fitted. They are made from synthesized cordierite which is shaped into a honeycomb structure with square or triangular passageways.
These structures are then coated in aluminum oxide, and a layer containing platinum, palladium, and rhodium to be used as catalysts in the conversion process. Toxic gases move through the structure and are converted into less harmful gases to be released into the atmosphere.
Ceramic catalytic converters have mostly replaced pellet converters. Ceramic catalytic converters get recycled for their precious metal content.
Catalytic Converter
Catalytic converters remove the poisonous gas that is found in the exhausts of the cars. They are divided into two as metal and ceramic. Platinum group metals are used in the manufacture of both.A catalytic converter uses a chamber called a catalyst to change the harmful compounds from an engine's emissions into safe gases, like steam. It works to split up the unsafe molecules in the gases that a car produces before they get released into the
